MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. — Age, experience and stature are desired traits of a two-deep defensive lineman in the Southeastern Conference.

The teams separating themselves from the rest of the league have all that out of their defensive front, but they also have athletes who make plays and pressure opposing quarterbacks.

Tennessee is tied for 101st nationally in sacks. The Volunteers have also lost half of their first six games in 2013.

Help may be on the way in the person of Davonte Lambert, who verbally committed to Tennessee over SEC rivals Auburn and Florida back on Aug. 13.

The Waynesboro, Ga., native is a FOX Sports and Scout four-star prospect at Georgia Military College, which also produced starting Vols defensive tackle Daniel McCullers.

The top-ranked Bulldogs pushed their record to 8-0 after taking down Nassau (N.Y.) Community College last weekend. GMC puts its undefeated mark on the line against visiting Virginia Beach Institute this Saturday at 2.
