Tennessee triumphs over S. Indiana, 78-47

Jordan McRae piled in 15 points in 23 minutes to lead Tennessee to a 78-47 exhibition win over Southern Indiana at Thompson-Boling Arena on Thursday.

The Volunteers took their second preseason contest by accumulating 26 points off turnovers and taking care of the ball on their end.

"I thought we did a good job of not turning the ball over," Tennessee coach Cuonzo Martin said.

Josh Richardson added 12 points on 5-of-11 shooting. Jarnell Stokes contributed 11 points and seven rebounds in 15 minutes.

Southern Indiana was led by Aaron Nelson's nine points.

The teams were whistled for 19 fouls apiece.

Tennessee took a 40-27 lead into the break.
