It didn't take long for Dimarya Mixon to realize the opportunity to play early and often at Tennessee.

After enrolling in January the former West Mesquite (Texas) High School standout should have enough reps under his belt to compete for a spot in the two-deep in Knoxville.

Mixon figured as much during an official visit to Rocky Top that included a verbal commitment not long after seeing Tennessee fall by 32 to Auburn at a sold-out Neyland Stadium.

The 6-foot-3, 265-pounder rated in with FOX Sports and Scout as a three-star prospect in the 2013 class before ultimately signing with Nebraska.

Qualification issues prevented Mixon from heading to Lincoln but one program's loss is another's gain.
