Just because Derek Barnett is on the Big Orange commit list, doesn't mean opposing universities suddenly lost interest.

The 6-foot-3, 281-pounder is a Tennessee commitment that continues to field phone calls from other schools.

Barnett is a Scout four-star rated the No. 28 defensive end in the country. He committed back on Oct. 9.

Barnett got tabbed Tennessee Titans TSSAA Division II Class AA Mr. Football Lineman of the Year award for the second straight year, picking up his plaque at a banquet Monday.
