COOKEVILLE, Tenn. — Not many things finer in sports than going out on top. Todd Kelly Jr. can attest to that.

The Scout four-star and Tennessee commit finished up his prep career with his third state ring in four years.

In the TSSAA Division II Class A state championship on Thursday, Kelly provided three touchdown runs (62, 27, 8) to help the Webb Spartans defeat St. George's 28-14 at Tucker Stadium on the Tennessee Tech campus.

Kelly earned offensive MVP honors running 19 times for 248 yards and the three scores.

The title victory is a part of a week Kelly won't soon forget as he won the Mr. Football Back of the Year award for his class on Monday and saw friend and fellow Scout four-star senior Josh Malone declared he will join him on Rocky Top.
