MURFREESBORO, Tenn. — Jack Jones edged a pair of SEC offer-holding prospects for a prestigious award Monday.

The junior offensive lineman walked out of the Embassy Suites in Murfreesboro with the Tennessee Titans TSSAA Class AAA Mr. Football Lineman of the Year trophy. Other finalists were Brighton senior Charles Mosley and Maryville junior Dylan Jackson.

The 6-foot-5, 275-pound Jones is also a two-time winner of the District 7-AAA Lineman of the Year.

The Oakland (Tenn.) High School blocker verbally committed to the Tennessee Volunteers back on May 9 — less than 72 hours after getting the scholarship offer.
