LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. — As a top-flight talent, to find out just how good you really are, sometimes you have to patiently wait on elite events to come along.

Dillon Bates is a Scout four-star prospect and a career at Tennessee as an outside linebacker is right around the corner, but he's finding out quickly about his strengths and weaknesses at Under Armour All-America week.

"It really separates the men from the boys," Bates said this week at the ESPN Wide World of Sports.

The Ponte Vedra (Fla.) High School standout says other schools are "not completely" backing off him even though he's been committed to the Volunteers since July.
