ORLANDO, Fla. — Not a whole lot of items on the to-do list for Derek Barnett haven't been scratched off.

It wasn't long into his junior season that the Brentwood (Tenn.) Academy standout started piling up scholarship offers from several FBS programs.

From competing in The Opening to a solid season with the BA Eagles to committing to Tennessee, it's been a memory-clad finish to his prep career.

Since winning the TSSAA Division II Class AA Mr. Football Lineman of the Year award, the Nashville resident hasn't been able to truly grind in the weight room due to a case being on his left hand.
