From walking into Neyland Stadium to touring the facilities and watching practice, Scout three-star offensive tackle Alex Givens said he was "overwhelmed" by all that Tennessee has to offer.

It's safe to say the Nashville Christian (Tenn.) came away more than impressed after visiting the Knoxville-based campus for the first time during a recent junior day event.

"It was good. Like everything was," Givens told InsideTennessee. "There's just good people here and good everything. It was just a really awesome time."

Now, it becomes a waiting game.

The 6-foot-6. 265-pounder doesn't pocket a Tennessee offer, but called the prospect of picking one up "unbelievable."

Givens currently holds offers from Vanderbilt, Cincinnati, Virginia, Miami, Ole Miss, Mississippi State and Mississippi. He says Auburn is showing interest.

"It would mean a lot – so much. This is a big-time place," Givens said. "An offer would be incredible. They're definitely high on my list now. I can see myself here. An offer would be a big deal. I really can't say it enough."

Overall, Givens calls the visit an "eye-opening" experience, admitting he was "surprised" how comfortable he felt in Knoxville.

After all, Givens grew up donning black and gold on Saturdays, not orange and white.

Givens vividly recalls heading down to his grandparent's restaurant called "VandyLand" in the heart of Nashville as a youngster before trekking a few short blocks to watch the Commodores play.

"Yeah, I grew up a Vandy fan," Givens said. "But I can really see myself (at Tennessee). They make you feel home here. All the coaches come up and talk to you and just make you feel wanted."

Givens said his favorite part of the visit was soaking in one of Tennessee's spring practices, saying he could picture himself running through drills at Haslam Field.

"It's crazy, I like how (Butch Jones) keeps the mood up," Givens told IT. "He keeps it fun. But, you know, I like the tempo of practice. You're always doing something. It doesn't look like you even have the chance to be bored. I could see myself out there."

The nation's No. 65 offensive tackle prospect was also taken aback by Tennessee's newly finished facilities – although not a priority in his recruitment.

"They're crazy. The thing about that, though, is I don't really want to pick (a school) from the facilities," Givens said. "But if I did, I'd pick here. I want to pick it from the people, though. And I know they have the people here."

Givens visited Vanderbilt before his time on Knoxville, saying the Commodores are still "really high" on his list.

He plans to visit Ole Miss and Mississippi State in the coming weeks.
