CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Standing in line, looking out over his fellow defensive backs at the Charlotte NIKE Football Training Camp, Stephen Griffin's upside is evident.

College coaches desire a frame and length that can handle the diet and weight-lifting after the prep level in engineering the best roster possible.

At 6 feet 3, it's clear that South Mecklenburg (N.C.) High School's dual-threat has room to grow and will be tough to pass over the top of when he gets to Tennessee, which is where he verbally committed to on March 20.
