Tide, Vols coming hard after Dawgs commit

Can the Georgia Bulldogs hold onto the commitment of Tennessee's top-rated defensive back Rico McGraw? InsideTennessee got the latest while at The Opening straight from the Scout four-star.

BEAVERTON, Ore. — Rico McGraw shocked recruiting circles in the South by verbally committing to Georgia without having visited the campus in Athens.

Much of that declaration to the Bulldogs is attributed to first-year defensive coordinator Jeremy Pruitt, who had recently joined Mark Richt's staff after winning the BCS National Championship at Florida State.

The recruitment of the Scout four-star defensive back from Ensworth School in Nashville didn't grind to a halt with the pledge. With linebackers coach Tommy Thigpen leading the charge, Tennessee continues its heavy pursuit of the Pulaski native. Alabama hasn't taken a back seat either.

To get the latest on the three-time TSSAA Division II Class AA state champion defensive back, his time competing at The Opening, his pride for friend Cameron Ordway and an update on his recruitment, click play on the exclusive video interview with InsideTennessee below:
