Helm, North part of wave of talent

Be informed about the Big Orange with a subscription to InsideTennessee.com. Check out what a pair of offensive playmakers had to say about things in Knoxville on Tuesday.

Daniel Helm was a Scout four-star prospect and Offense-Defense All-American. The freshman was the best tight end the Land of Lincoln has produced since C.J. Fiedorowicz.

Marquez North was a Scout four-star prospect and a U.S. Army All-American. The sophomore rated as the Tar Heel State's best pass-catcher since Jheranie Boyd.

The pair make up just two of the cogs of the Tennessee offense looking for a breakthrough after averaging just 17.6 points per game versus Southeastern Conference foes in 2013.

The duo also represent suds on the crest of a wave of talent now flowing through Knoxville.

How long until players like Helm and North wash away the losing seasons Big Orange Country has suffered in recent years remains anyone's guess.

However, these two and the rest of Team 118 continue running out to the Anderson Training Center and Haslam Field all this month as Tennessee prepares for its season opener versus Utah State on Aug. 31.

Below is more from Helm and North after Tuesday's practice.
