The two tradition-rich programs lock horns once again this weekend for what will be the 97th time. As has been the case for many of the past seven matchups, the Crimson Tide is in a better place than the Volunteers with Alabama (6-1) in the national championship hunt and the Big Orange (3-4) fighting injuries and extreme youth in hopes of reaching bowl eligibility.
Alabama quarterback Blake Sims has completed 66.5-percent of his 176 passes with just three interceptions against 17 touchdowns. The senior wil be tested by a Tennessee defense that ranks second in the league and sixth nationally in pass defense..
