Vols fans get first look at 2014-15 Hoops

On the night before Tennessee and Alabama square off on the gridiron the men's and women's basketball teams got the thousands of the "greatest fans in college basketball" in attendance at Thompson-Boling Arena into the spirit of Volunteer hoops with Big Orange Madness.

The fans who were looking to get an enjoyable, up-close look at Volunteer hoops enjoyed the first installment of Big Orange Madness under Donnie Tyndall. A dunk and three point contest, free t-shirts, two scrimmages and an autograph session, gave Tennessee fans a little of everything to ring in the 2014-15 basketball season.

The fans who were hoping to get a feel for how good or bad this Tennessee Volunteer basketball team is going to be, they may have been a little let down by what they saw on Friday night with the scrimmage being nothing more than a glorified dunk contest. Like other schools who put on events like this to introduce their basketball team, there is an emphasis on putting a show on for the fans and more importantly, not get anyone injured.

Big Orange Madness did provide plenty of highlights that you can see below, as well as Donnie Tyndall's speech and interview.
