The set of spring practices of Tennessee isn't quite at its completion, but there is plenty to talk about on Rocky Top.
The Orange & White game kicks off at Neyland Stadium in Knoxville on Saturday afternoon at 4:05 Eastern. Leading up to the televised contest, Team 119 knocked off some rust and got in plenty of work in March and April to build toward the 2015 season that gets underway versus Bowling Green at LP Field in Nashville on Sept. 5.
To get an idea as to what that squad may look like, thousands of Big Orange supporters are expected to trek over to The Hill this weekend.
If forecasts are accurate, it could be a rain-drenched afternoon on Rocky Top. If not, it will be a fantastic opportunity for Vols fans to see their team compete for the first time since the throttling of Iowa in January's TaxSlayer Bowl.
One of the top storylines of the spring centers on the defensive secondary where Evan Berry and Todd Kelly Jr. have the faithful excited not only for the depth generated behind LaDarrell McNeil and Brian Randolph but about the 2016 season and beyond.
Assuming the lightning strikes hold off, Vols fans should get to see their favorite players go head to head with one another in an extremely competitive environment on Shields-Watkins Field.
