Warrior details talks with Butch Jones

Getting elite level Tennessee legacy prospects to come home to Tennessee is something coach Butch Jones and his staff have been successful at doing.

BEAVERTON, Ore. — Nigel Warrior continues to zone in on a select few schools that he's going to consider for his college destination. One of those is Tennessee.

The Tennessee legacy told InsideTennessee this week that he continues to have "basic conversations" with Volunteers coach Butch Jones.

Alabama, Georgia, Oregon and Tennessee are a quartet of schools coming hard after the Scout four-star prospect. The Ducks and Ohio State sound like they've done enough to gain a visit from the defensive back. A trip to the West Coast is on the horizon.

All this week the Atlanta native is at The Opening with 165 of the nation's best high school football players. The talent at the offensive skill position provides a measuring stick for players like Warrior, who ranks by Scout as the No. 1 safety in the South.

"I just want to work on how to cover different players, not just mediocre players," Warrior said.
