GAINESVILLE, Tenn. — For 56 minutes it looked like Tennessee was going to get vengeance against rival Florida. However, games are 60 minutes for a reason and the hosts came out on top 28-27 on Saturday.

In the end, it wasn't enough as the Volunteers (2-2, 0-1 Southeastern Conference) fell to the Gators (4-0, 2-0 SEC) for the 11th time overall and the sixth straight time at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium.

Eight different Vols caught passes. Twelve players had three tackles or more. Kyle Phillips registered the first sack of his collegiate career. The final scoring drive included Tennessee converting on all five third-down conversions.

It all came without a double-digit number of players expected to contribute to Team 119 this season.
