Programs still after Vols commit Tee Higgins

Tee Higgins, who ranks as the state of Tennessee's No. 1 junior, continues to hear from college programs outside of the Volunteers. Here's more on the Scout four-star prospect.

SEVIERVILLE, Tenn. — College coaches and recruiters aren't going to leave Tee Higgins alone anytime soon. He's that type of talent.

The Scout No. 37 prospect in the 2017 class committed to Tennessee on Aug. 24 over offers from the likes of Alabama, Florida State, Georgia, LSU and Ohio State. However, rest assured that the mail and direct messages won't let up anytime soon.

For now, Higgins is seeing all orange and plans to get a TSSAA state championship before his prep football days complete.

The four-star talent has held up his end of the bargain for the Oak Ridge (Tenn.) High School Wildcats, who rank No. 5 in their classification statewide. Higgins has at least one touchdown in six of their seven games.

On Friday, Higgins caught two passes for 30 yards in a 56-14 Oak Ridge win over Karns. Up next is a road trip to take on McMinn County in Athens.

In 2014, Higgins accounted for 763 yards and 10 touchdowns on top of being an all-state performer in basketball.
