Desmond Oliver joined Rick Barnes at Tennessee in March as the lone new face on a staff comprised of holdovers from Barnes' days at Texas.
The former Charlotte assistant has kept his regional recruiting footprint and was a heralded addition to the staff from both a recruiting and teaching standpoint as Tennessee prepares to begin its first season under a third new coaching staff in three years.
Oliver sat down with InsideTennessee for a one-on-one interview to discuss his transition from Charlotte to Tennesssee, his recruiting relationships in the area, the changing role of Armani Moore, Barnes' transition offense and more.
Tennessee opens the season Friday when it hosts Division II Alabama-Huntsville in an exhibition game at 7 p.m. ET.
