COOKEVILLE, Tenn. — Ryan Johnson saved some of his best for last.
Looking to cap his career at Brentwood (Tenn.) Academy with a TSSAA Division II Class AA state championship, the offensive tackle helped the Eagles do exactly that in a double-overtime win over the defending champs.
Brentwood Academy's offense put 56 points on the board with 554 total yards, including 274 on the ground. The Eagles finished 12-1.
Johnson is a Scout four-star prospect that's been committed to Tennessee longer than any other 2016 class recruit. He moved up the Scout rankings at offensive tackle from No. 30 all the way to No. 19.
