Jaquan Henderson details Tennessee pledge

Tennessee may have set a record for most commitments on a summer day this weekend. The latest: Jaquan Henderson.

Jaquan Henderson couldn't stop smiling Saturday night. The Peach State native knew what he wanted to do and pulled the trigger with a commitment to Tennessee.

"(Tennessee) coach (Butch) Jones, the head guy, I told him," Henderson said moments after the declaration. "I made his day and this is what we've been waiting for."

The Scout four-star linebacker said he slept on the decision Friday night and made it final when he got to Rocky Top for Orange Carpet Day.

Henderson is teammates at Newton (Ga.) High School with fellow Tennessee target and Scout four-star wide receiver Jeremiah Holloman.

"I'm jumping on it right now," Henderson said of putting on a recruiter's hat. "As soon as I get in the car I'm going to hit him up and tell him, 'Let's make it official.' Got to make it happen."
