BEAVERTON, Ore. — It's hard to put a finger on where exactly DeAngelo Gibbs should play on the football field.
That's not to say it's cause for concern. On the contrary, the Scout five-star athlete could be an all-star player and contribute to wins at any of a number of roles.
It's a problem that Tennessee wants to have. Butch Jones and his staff told Gibbs long ago that he can play wherever he wants if he signs with the Big Orange.
The last two years, Gibbs played cornerback at The Opening Finals at Nike World Headquarters.
"I feel like every year I came out here, I developed as a player, a person and as a leader," the 6-foot-2, 204-pounder said.
Cornerback or whatever, Gibbs knows he's a wanted man at Rocky Top. The feeling is mutual as he continually praises Tennessee and the family connections he has there being the nephew of VFL and former All-America Dale Carter.
"I like everything about it," the five-star told InsideTennessee.
