Will Vols land 4-star D-lineman Jordan Williams?

Jordan Williams has a quartet of schools from which he will choose. Find out about Tennessee's chances of being the pick.

BEAVERTON, Ore. — Jordan Williams feels like a priority from Tennessee's coaching staff.

How does the Frank Cox (Va.) High School defensive lineman know that? Because the defender hears from every coach on Rocky Top. That's part of the reason the Volunteers are in Williams' top 4 with Clemson, Virginia and Virginia Tech.

"Tennessee, the facilities really stood out to me on my visit and then the relationship I built with all the coaches," the Scout four-star prospect told InsideTennessee. "I'd like to get down again to do more academic stuff, but we're not sure about that. It may be a phone call where we talk more academics. I really do like Tennessee; they're in great shape right now."

Williams competed against some of the finer offensive linemen in the nation at The Opening Finals on NIKE World Headquarters this month. One of the coaches there providing tips was Tennessee junior defensive end Derek Barnett.

"(Barnett)'s definitely trying to push speed and beat them with violent hands," Williams said.
