Tennessee is fresh off its first Saturday scrimmage of training camp and had two practices Monday.
The Volunteers start back into full-on student-athlete mode Wednesday with school starting, so coach Butch Jones and the staff is attempting to test Team 120's toughness before the classroom becomes a factor.
On Saturday, the offense took care of the football but that means the Tennessee defense didn't create takeaways.
With the training camp being possibly the shortest in school history, position battles that are up for grabs mean attention to detail is paramount. Brett Kendrick versus Drew Richmond at left tackle, Malik Foreman versus RaShaan Gaulden at nickelback, and Justin Martin versus Emmanuel Moseley at cornerback are some of the ongoing competitions.
