Tennessee sets out to end its nine-game losing streak against Alabama and gain its 21st win over the Crimson Tide in Knoxville when the two square up Saturday afternoon.

If the Volunteers are to come out on top over their longest-running Southeastern Conference rivals, they'll have to eliminate the allowance of "splash" plays.

Defensive coordinator Bob Shoop spoke with the media on Wednesday about the adaptability of the defense overall amid injuries, what he saw in Shy Tuttle and Kahlil McKenzie in College Station, Texas, as well as what he sees in Crimson Tide freshman quarterback Jalen Hurts, plus more.
