After nine months, the Tennessee athletics department has developed some groundwork for a renovation to better Neyland Stadium.

Brett Huebner (Senior Associate AD for Business Operations) and Chris Fuller (Senior Associate AD for Development/External Relations) discussed the goals and expectations of the process with the media on Tuesday.

The renovation is broken into two phases. Phase 1, which has a projected completion date of August 2019, aims to improve upon the following: south concourse 1 expansion and renovation, south field wall movement, visiting team locker room relocation, kitchen and commissary addition, lower/lower west bowl infrastructure rebuild, hospitality area upgrades (e. g. field level club), upper bowl handrail augmentation, electrical transformer replacement, and storm sewer line repair.

While details have been released about the initial phase, the second phase has not yet been detailed.
