Don Mahoney talks Vols' O-line bye week goals

Follow InsideTennessee for all the news surrounding Team 120.

With multiple player injuries in the last several weeks and no choice but to remove a redshirt from freshman Marcus Tatum in the Alabama game, Tennessee once again sports a very young offensive line.

O-line coach Don Mahoney spoke about the development he hopes to see from the younger players who are called upon, like Tatum was versus the Tide, and the necessity for all-around maturation.

"To be put in that situation and the way (Tatum) responded, there were some positives that came out of it," Mahoney said. "He's got to play with great technique and fundamentals.

"He's an extremely hard worker, he'll do whatever is necessary to keep on gaining the weight and lifting—all the things he needs to do to overcome any of the deficiencies that he might have."
