Shoop demands consistency from Vols' defense

Considering the staggering 443 rushing yards that Tennessee allowed against Kentucky on Saturday, the Vols defense still managed to redeem themselves in crucial red-zone moments.

Tennessee was able to limit the Wildcats to only score twice within six opportunities of creeping into the zone.

Nonetheless, issues of inconsistency within the defense that allowed for such a high number of rushing yards versus Kentucky is a point of contention that defensive coordinator Bob Shoop wants to see improvement upon before heading into Game 11.

"It's consistency," Shoop said. "And I understand the frustration. I always say winning minimizes the problem, losing magnifies the problems that exist and we've go to make the corrections last week so they don't happen again this week."
