A bittersweet experience awaits Vols seniors as they prepare to take the field at Neyland Stadium for the last time in just three days.
Take it from VFL Joey Kent that senior night is a special moment unlike any other.
"It was really emotional for me," Kent said. "Having that little small talk with coach (Phillip) Fulmer before you ran out there, and (Fulmer) telling me how much he appreciated me — that meant a lot to me in that moment."
When now-seniors Jalen Reeves-Maybin and Cam Sutton shocked Vol Nation and returned for the 2016 season after speculation that they would be moving on to the NFL draft, Kent was grateful for their passion and love for the Tennessee football program.
"I'm very proud of this seniors class. I think they should go down as one of the senior classes that should be loved because of what they have meant to this program and how the have brought this program back to where we are today."
