Insider Report: Offense guides Vols past Mizzou, 63-37

A 28-point fourth quarter put enough distance between home standing Tennessee and Missouri as the Volunteers cruised late to a 63-37 win on Saturday.

Any hopes of Tennessee making it to the Southeastern Conference championship were smashed when LSU couldn't score from 6 feet out in a home loss to Florida. Thus, the Volunteers (8-3, 4-3 SEC) will be home watching the Gators represent the Eastern Division against West champ and No. 1-ranked Alabama.

Injuries and inconsistent play have lead to the Tennessee defense surrendering 1,375 yards of total offense over the final eight quarters, including Missouri's running for 420.
