Scout national analyst Chad Simmons: “He’s an aggressive kid. He wants to go, and he’ll hit you. He hits with some power, with some motivation, with some authority. He has that thump in him. It’s good because he is kind of that tweener body of a strong safety, a guy you bring in the box, a guy that can fill the alley to a lean, light linebacker right now. He’s probably right around 205 I believe as a senior. He’s going to obviously put the pounds on and the weight on when he get to the next level. He plays fast, he plays hard, he plays with aggression. Those things are evident when you watch him play whether it be live at a game, live at a camp or even on tape. Those things stand out immediately.”

Scout regional analyst Corey Bender: "Reid has to continue to pack on weight and strengthen up his frame, but is an explosive defender that makes things look effortless at times. Very fluid and smooth when busting off the edge, and shows good acceleration when closing on the ball carrier. He has a nice, lean frame that should have no trouble adding weight as well. Reid is a great athlete for the position, so sinking his hips and dropping in coverage hasn't been an issue. Reid can continue to work on wrapping up and cleaning up his tackling technique, but his best football is certainly still ahead of him. Aggressive and doesn't shy away from contact."
