Trey Smith went from being one of the nation's most coveted high-school football talents to wearing a recruiter's hat for the Tennessee Volunteers.
"Honestly, just sort of showing them the true side of Tennessee, what Tennessee the campus has to offer, the people that are within it," Smith said.
The Jackson native understands the pressures of the recruiting process, and he doesn't intend to pile on that, just give potential teammates an idea of life on Rocky Top.
Smith said he "absolutely" felt the weight of needing to stay in-state with his college choice.
"Living in Jackson, a good percentage of the citizens in the great city of Jackson are Tennessee fans," he said.
Smith also spoke about what Scout four-star defensive lineman LaBryan Ray brings to the table, the importance of enrolling in college in January and much more in the InsideTennessee video above.
