WR coach Kevin Beard adjusting well with Vols

Stay tuned to InsideTennessee for daily updates on the Vols as spring training approaches.

There aren't palm trees or beaches in Tennessee, but it's managed to be a good transition for Kevin Beard, nonetheless.

The Vols' new wide receivers coach made the move from Miami to Rocky Top less than a week ago, and has enjoyed to opportunity to get to know his new Big Orange family since his migration north. Beard spoke with the Knoxville media for the first time on Tuesday about how his new role with the Orange & White football program, what he expects for the upcoming year and how he intends to bring Tennessee back to its reputations of "Wide Receiver U."

"It's building it one brick at a time, just like they say," Beard said. "Just taking it one day, situation after situation. Rome wasn't built in a day, and that's the mindset I'm going to try to get them to understand. And that'll be the process. We're going to pluck away everyday."
