Is Tennessee in rebuilding mode? Or does it have enough talent to be a contender in 2017?

Tennessee racked up 18 wins the last two seasons combined and the 2017 NFL Draft will again be decorated with plenty of orange after two years of nothing.

Butch Jones and his staff are steadily rebuilding things on Rocky Top, but will the Volunteers be able to take another step forward this fall? Or will they need a year of transition with a new quarterback, a new offensive coordinator, a new set of defensive ends and more?

The effort to accelerate the transitional phase is already underway with new strength and conditioning director Rock Gullickson and his staff engineering the bodies and psyche of the Big Orange. On Tuesday, the strap on the helmets for the first time since a win over Nebraska in the Franklin American Mortgage Music City Bowl in December.
