Cade Mays striving to improve

The spring is being treated as a season to better one's self by Cade Mays. Hear the latest from the Knoxville-based offensive tackle.

Cade Mays isn't just resting on his laurels.

The Knoxville Catholic (Tenn.) School junior has lofty prospect status, a TSSAA Mr. Football plaque and a college destination with the Tennessee Volunteers.

Nevertheless, the 6-foot-5, 320-pounder aims to continue improving in the coming months before his final season of prep football.

Part of the reason for the turn-up is getting another taste of elite defensive ends in the 2018 class after competing at The Opening Atlanta in March.

It's not everyday that 6-foot-4 edge rushers with 4.8 speed are available for one-on-one drills. Mays took the reps as a teaching tool and should improve because of it.

See what Mays said about how his spring is going by watching the InsideTennessee video interview above.
