Is TE Jacob Warren ready for a college decision?

Jacob Warren recaps his spring that included visits to campuses like Oregon and Tennessee as well as discussed a timeframe on a college decision.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Jacob Warren spent a fair portion of the latter stages of the winter and early spring checking out college campuses all over the nation.

From Oregon to South Carolina to Tennessee, the Farragut (Tenn.) High School tight end has worked to educate himself for an upcoming college decision.

"I think it kind of just gave me insight into what I could be doing here in a possible years, just kind of how the college practice flows and how it compares to our high school practices," Warren told InsideTennessee.

The 6-foot-6, 218-pounder said he hears from Tennessee offensive coordinator Larry Scott on a daily basis. The two would work hand-in-hand together should Warren sign with the Volunteers as Scott also leads the tight ends on Rocky Top.

The Ducks, Gamecocks and Volunteers are just a portion of the schools of interest. It's the people on Tennessee's campus that are helping keep the Big Orange in the picture with the son of a former Volunteer.

"I like that pretty much every time I go in there, it's a family environment," Warren said.
