NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Greg Emerson wasn't shy about wearing some Tennessee gear at the V7 Playmakers Showcase at Tennessee State University on April 30.

The No. 1-ranked defensive end in the Volunteer State spoke with InsideTennessee at the showcase about his recruitment with the Vols so far.

"I guess you could say they're up there," the Scout four-star prospect out of North Side (Tenn.) High School said.

The 6-foot-3, 296-pound pass-rusher speaks frequently with Tennessee defensive line coach Brady Hoke as well as offensive line coach Walt Wells.

"They're both funny," Emerson said. "They mean well, and they like to push their players a lot. I've seen them practice."
