Vol ticket sales are Peachy

The University of Tennessee athletics ticket office reported Tuesday that ticket sales for the Jan. 2 Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl have reached the 12,500-mark in less than 48 hours.

"We are thrilled that our fans have responded in such a positive way to support our team," Athletics Director Mike Hamilton said. "Atlanta is a great city and close enough for all Tennessee fans to come and be a part of this bowl experience."

Hamilton encourages season ticket holders and donors to return their applications as soon as possible. Those individuals have until noon Eastern time Friday to return their applications for priority seating. Season ticket holders and donors should return the ticket application that was mailed to them or place an order online. If ordering online, it is important to use existing accounts and have account numbers available on the ticket application.

Tickets cost $55 and Thompson-Boling Arena ticket office hours are 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Ticket orders are being accepted over the phone at (800) 332-VOLS, locally at 656-1200 or online at the UTsports.com Web site.
