Good news for Vols

Having cancelled last weekend's scheduled visit to Florida, defensive tackle Fred Bledsoe (Little Rock, Ark.) appears to be a step closer to becoming a Tennessee Vol.

Bledsoe, a 6-4, 280-pounder, already visited Oklahoma State and UT. After chilling last weekend, he is scheduled to visit Arkansas this weekend.

''The break was good for him because he's having fun, but the travel and being on the road wears you down,'' his father, Fred Bledsoe Sr., told TheInsiders network

The elder Bledsoe added that he and his wife have been impressed with Tennessee and Oklahoma State.

"We haven't talked much about it yet,'' he said, ''but I think it's a real tossup between all three of the schools he has visited. It's going to come down to Oklahoma State, Arkansas, and Tennessee.''

Young Fred hopes to announce a decision shortly after he completes this weekend's tour of Fayetteville.
