Peach State TE Likes Vols

Tarvis Scott is a huge wide receiver that projects as a tight end on the next level. He names his favorite teams, and Tennessee looks to be in the best shape early.

Tarvis Scott is a huge wide receiver from Adairsville High School that excelled in several sports last year. He is going to make the biggest name for himself on the gridiron, but he was also the state high jump champion as a sophomore ('03) with a jump of 6'6". He was named All-Area in basketball, and the 6-5 wide receiver hauled in 360 yards of catches and six touchdowns in Adairsville's option oriented attack.

Scott went to several camps and games last year, and he will end his junior season with a big favorite.

"I'm a Tennessee fan," said Scott. "They just have a great atmosphere up there. I am also looking at Vanderbilt. Ole Miss, Auburn, and Nebraska."

What does Scott like about the other schools on his list?

Vanderbilt: "I really like the coaches I've met there."
Ole Miss: "Good quarterbacks and a good passing game."
Auburn: "They have great tradition, and I'm cousins with Ronnie Brown."
Nebraska: "That's like a home away from home."

Tennessee is the clear leader for Scott's services right now though. He and his teammates were in Knoxville for a speed clinic this weekend. Scott has a huge frame and good speed. He projects as a tight end on the next level. Playing in Adairsville's option oriented attack, Scott is a proficient blocker as well as pass catcher.
