Greene liked UT visit

An athletic lineman lists Tennessee in his top five.

Hivera Greene is a 6-5, 255-pound defensive end prospect from Conway, S.C., who runs a 4.8 in the 40-yard dash and has a world of potential. He recorded 134 tackles, five sacks and five forced fumbles as a junior last fall.

Greene was in Knoxville over the weekend to attend the Vols' Junior Day.

''It went well,'' he told Don Callahan of ''We went to see them practice and we toured their facilities. I talked to Coach (Phillip) Fulmer and Coach (Dan) Brooks. Coach Fulmer basically told me to go out and have a good season and don't worry about recruiting.''

Greene previously attended Junior Days at North Carolina State and Clemson. He plans to attends Georgia's Junior Day, as well. In addition, he intends to visit spring games at N.C. State, Clemson and Tennessee spring games, plus summer camps at Tennessee, Auburn, Georgia and Oklahoma.

Clemson is the only school that has offered to date but that could change now that Greene has toured Knoxville. He left some film for Fulmer and his defensive staffers to assess.

''They haven't talked to Coach Fulmer about it yet, but the defensive coaches have viewed it,'' Greene said. ''So I guess I have to wait to find out if they are going to offer.''

Greene has a top five but admits it is subject to change.

''My top colleges I would love to go to would be Oklahoma, Michigan, Tennessee, Clemson and Auburn,'' he said. ''None of those schools stand above the rest yet.''
