Tennessee Linebacker has Impressive Offers

Todd Cox was a standout at TheInsiders/MSL Combine in Memphis, and he has an impressive list of scholarship offers.

Todd Cox is a linebacker/running back prospect from Memphis, Tn., and the Harding Academy star already claims a bevy of big time offers.

"I've got offers from Tennessee, Ole Miss, Auburn, North Carolina, LSU, and USC. My Top Five is Tennessee, USC, LSU, North Carolina, and Ole Miss," Todd Cox said.

What does Todd like about each of his favorites.

Tennessee: "They've been a team I always followed since I real little."
USC: "It's in California which is nice, and they are the national champions. I have an aunt in Oakland."
LSU: "They have a good baseball team, and a good football team. I've talked to (baseball) Coach Bertman already."
North Carolina: "I don't really know much about their football program, but they were the first team to offer me."
Ole Miss: "They're in the SEC, and the SEC is the best pretty much in my mind."

What are the most important factors for Cox?

"The team. I wanna be nationally known and play a lot on TV."

Does he have an early time frame for his decision?

"I'd like to take all 5 visits. I'm going to be looking at the area, and just how the school is overall."

Cox carried the ball 80 times a year ago for 950yds and 11 touchdowns on offense, but he played linebacker as well and could do either at the next level. He was a standout at the MSL/TheInsiders Combine in Memphis earlier this year as he ran an impressive 4.65 forty with NFL watches on him.

While the camps are non contact, the running backs get a chance to run routes and catch passes, and Cox shined in the individual one on one drills. He displayed excellent cuts and excellent hands working with the backs.
