Big O chasing Ohio speedster

One of the fastest high school running backs in America is getting interest from the University of Tennessee.

Donald Bell is a 5-11, 183-pounder from Trotwood-Madison High of Trotwood, Ohio. Blessed with 4.32 speed over 40 yards and 10.7 speed over 100 meters, he has the quickness to be an impact player at the college level.

Bell rushed for more than 400 yards and averaged 9.3 yards per carry last fall, while backing up a couple of teammates who rushed for more than 1,000 yards each.

According to Dave Berk of OhioPrepScene.com, Bell is getting feelers from Kentucky, Iowa, Boston College, West Virginia, Wisconsin, Oregon, Western Kentucky, Illinois, Bowling Green, Indiana, Tennessee, Maryland and Alabama.

In addition to tailback, Bell played weakside linebacker last fall, registering 40 tackles and three sacks.

The only negative surrounding Bell is his academics. He reportedly has some work to do in order to qualify for collegiate eligibility by the end of his prep career.
