After tabbing just one Vol to its All-America offensive checklist on Monday -- Cedric Houston made the ''Watch List'' at running back -- mentions four Vols in its All-America defensive analysis posted today.

Kevin Burnett and Kevin Simon make the 39-member watch list at linebacker. Three first-team A-As, three second-teamers and five honorable mentions were rated higher than the Vol duo.

Junior end Parys Haralson was among 43 watch-list defensive linemen and junior cornerback Jason Allen was among 51 watch-list defensive backs.

Vol sophomore James Wilhoit made the watch list for placekickers.

The only Vol to make anything higher than ''watch list'' in's rankings was Dustin Colquitt. He was tabbed second-team All-America punter behind Southern Cal's Tom Malone.

By the way, Memphis' Albert Means, whose recruitment by Alabama landed the Tide in the NCAA doghouse four years ago, made the ''watch list.''
