Colquitt charges dismissed

Charges of D.U.I and underage alcohol consumption against freshman punter Britton Colquitt have been dismissed by Knox County General Sessions Court.

The younger brother of All-America punter Dustin Colquitt, Britton had four alcohol-related charges filed against him last September and added another charge earlier this year. The most recent charge earned him an indefinite suspension from head coach Phillip Fulmer. That suspension is expected to be lifted this week.

In exchange for pleading guilty to two of the September underage consumption charges, Britton Colquitt will perform community service and receive judicial diversion. He also will attend classes on alcoholism.
