"Tennessee is starting to pull ahead as my leader" states James Davis.
"My top three are still Tennessee, Alabama, and Clemson. The three remaining in my top six are LSU, Auburn, and Georgia Tech. I have dropped Georgia from consideration. They just have too many running backs and too much depth there."
Since September 1, Davis' phone has been ringing off the hook. What teams and coaches have been on the other end?
"A lot of schools…I want to say every school that has offered me plus a few more."
Does Davis have any planned visits over the next few weeks?
"Yes, I plan to go up to Clemson this weekend to see them play Georgia Tech, and then to Tennessee the following weekend to watch them play Florida. That is all I have planned for right now."
Does Davis plan to take all visits before making his commitment?
"That's what I plan to do, but me making a commitment on an unofficial visit in the next few weeks is possible also."
