Tennessee Commitment Discusses Decision

Austin Rogers discusses his commitment to the home state Tennessee Volunteers. Why did he pick the Vols and will he take anymore visits?

"I am committed to Tennessee," said Austin Rogers.

Who did he pick the Vols over?

"I picked them over Vanderbilt, South Carolina and Mississippi State. Those were the schools that have offered me."

Have the other schools backed off now that Rogers is a Vol?

"They still call, but most of the time I am not here to receive their calls. I am still getting letters too."

So, why did he pick the Vols?

"It was just the best fit for me. Everything about Tennessee fit me well. I have always been a Tennessee fan and I just knew it was the best choice."

Will he take any other visits, or are his recruiting days over?

"I would say they are pretty much over."

Rogers has played wide receiver his entire prep career, but is now playing running back. The regular back went down with an injury the first game and Rogers has filled in well running for over 200 yards in the last two games.

Rogers says, "Tennessee is recruiting me to play wide receiver right now. They said there is a chance I could end up at safety, but I will start out at receiver.
