Friday Practice Report

KNOXVILLE - Tennessee's walk through on Friday allowed the team to put the finishing touches on its game plan for this weekend. At this point it looks like everything that could be talked about has been said. It's just a matter of putting all the distractions of young players and bad weather behind the coaching staff and playing football.

As for the weather forecast, it doesn‚t look like mother-nature will be as cruel as originally expected.

"You don't want a quagmire," head coach Phillip Fulmer said. "Anytime the elements affect the game you're not particularly fond of that. This is one of those games that everyone would like to play on a clear day."

Fulmer also fielded some questions about his young quarterbacks and their mentality heading into their first "big game".

"They play against our defense everyday," Fulmer said. "So far they've done well and I think they'll be fine. If we can do as well as we did (against UNLV) and keep the pressure on their defense, that would be great."

Kick-off is scheduled for 8pm on Saturday night.
