Monday Practice Report

KNOXVILLE - Tennessee returned to the practice field on Monday following their 19-14 upset over the weekend against Georgia. Although spirits are high with the team and the staff, the injuries are piling up at a significant rate.

Michael Munoz, Arron Sears, and Cody Douglas, all offensive linemen, look like they will be limited in practice this week.

"We‚ll see how we come out of this first with Cody before we make any big shuffles," head coach Phillip Fulmer said. "Richie Gandy can play in there. Arron can play, but I don't know how he is." "I need David Ligon, Eric Young, and Laron Harris to become factors on our team," Fulmer said. "Right now) they're riding the bus, eating good, and watching the game. They need to get to be a part of what we're doing."

The only other player nursing an injury is wide receiver Tony Brown. Brown is nursing a sore calf.

Another wide receiver was mentioned as Phillip Fulmer met the media, the elusive Bret Smith.

"It's kind of a mystery to me," Fulmer said. "He comes out here and his toe's hurt and his groin's hurt. He looks like he's Fred Sanford out here in practice. In the game he makes plays."
