Two more kickoffs set

After playing five of their first six games at night, the Tennessee Vols are finally getting some afternoon action.

Two days after CBS announced it will air Saturday's Vol-Alabama game at 3:30, the network also announced it has bought broadcast rights for the UT-Notre Dame game scheduled Nov. 6 in Knoxville. It also will be a 3:30 telecast.

Meanwhile, Jefferson Pilot has acquired rights to Tennessee's Oct. 30 game against South Carolina at Columbia. This one will have a 12:30 kickoff and be aired on a regional basis.

Tennessee is 4-2 against Notre Dame and has won the last three meetings. The Vols are 18-2-2 against Carolina and have won the last 11 meetings.

Fresh from Saturday night's 21-17 win at Ole Miss, the Big Orange (5-1 overall, 3-1 SEC) moved up to 11th in the Associated Press poll and 13th in the Coaches poll.
